"Hold Your Fire" screening and award at Fantasia (UPDATED AGAIN) By: Wes on Aug. 1, 2009
My short film will be screened in glorious 35mm at Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal on July 13th at 7:00 PM. Opening for the film "Book Of Blood".
UPDATE:
Here's a great review of the Fantasia screening from Dread Central:
"In the last three days the most impressive thing we’ve seen is actually an 8-minute short directed by artist Wes Benscoter. Titled Hold Your Fire, this grim anti-war film depicting the isolation and horror of a four-limb amputee is genuinely disconcerting and oddly beautiful. Here’s hoping some of the upcoming features are at least this good."
UPDATED AGAIN: We won the "Best Live-Action Short Film" Jury Prize award at Fantasia!
