“Of course I was very aware of Pink Floyd’s “Atom Heart Mother” cover, and did think of it while planning this cover, but the “Humanure” artwork is not a direct statement about Pink Floyd or that record. It was more about placing Cattle Decapitation into the context of iconic rock art by spilling gore all over a classic record cover image. It just felt appropriate for such an wonderfully absurd title.”
